Level 12: The sorting floor
Playable nowEverything the crew loses pays for itself: damage on a death, a card on a death, and mice from nowhere.
You can do this now.
The deck
Thirty cards, two copies of each of fifteen cards, plus Orla outside the draw pile.
Ordinary cards here are Standard and Rare, and Orla is Rare. All of them are nonexclusive cards, and their costs are in mana.
Some minions are Statues, which a few of the cards here read.
Stowaway puts a Plinth Mouse on the board at the start of the match. It is not drawn and does not take a place in the deck.
The wall
The gallery stands behind a level 7 Town Wall: 3 armour, 0 attack, with Reach. It never attacks, it hits back when you attack it, and until it falls it is the only thing your attacks can hit. With Reach it stops your flying minions too.
It works exactly like a Town Wall at a city.
Facing this deck
Trading into these bodies is what they want. Kill the Ledger Statue when nothing of yours is in range of it, and keep your board wide so one Death does not clear it.
A loss damages your destroyed cards and your deck master. Check their condition before sailing again.
What it drops
2700 wood, 675 each of stone, glass, coffee and mana, and 1080 gold, if you win.
The deck master
Orla, Keeper of the Trolley
Orla hauls surviving treasures out of rooms that are falling apart, including treasures that object to being hauled. She carries her trolley’s missing wheel around her neck and refuses to abandon anything useful. A grand title will not get you out of lifting, and being an actual portrait is only a temporary excuse.

The 15 cards, two copies of each
- 1st ed.·RareCathryneDelamort
The wardrobe came with a tenant and no forwarding address.
Minion, Beast⚔ 2♥ 4Wardrobe NestRareThe mouse has moved from a packing crate into the bottom drawer of a salvaged wardrobe. She has furnished it with stolen labels and refuses every attempt at inspection. Breaking the wardrobe gets the drawer open, but makes its resident considerably less welcoming.

- Everybody LiftRare
Somebody counts, everybody lifts, and a load that wanted a crane goes up the ramp on shoulders. Nobody is stronger afterwards, exactly; they simply stop putting things down. The counting is the difficult part and always has been.

- Second ShiftRare
Word goes round that the sorting floor is working late, and two more sets of small hands arrive at the door. They bring their own lanterns and their own views on lifting. The work goes faster and the biscuits go missing.

- Landing MarshalEpic
The marshal holds the stair landing while the smallest evacuees squeeze past her shield. A mouse shelters in the rolled carpet at her feet. Knocking the marshal aside exposes the mouse, who has mistaken the entire rescue operation for an attack on her bedding.

- Ledger StatueStandard
A statue of an auditor stands over the sorting floor with her ledger open, recording everything that leaves. Toppling her is possible. The ledger lands first, edge on, and it has always been heavier than it looks.

- Inventory ClerkStandard
The clerk counts what is left and writes it down twice, which is why the second copy is still legible when she is not. Her handwriting outlives most of her colleagues. She would tell you that this is the entire point of handwriting.

- Yard RunnerStandard
A runner carries messages between the gate and the ramp faster than anybody can be bothered to walk it. A mouse rides in her satchel and considers this a promotion. Neither of them has been told the evacuation is over.

- Last-Load TitanStandard
The titan carries the final balcony through the courtyard and plants herself across the exit while the crew finishes loading. Its occupants are still aboard and still requesting a gentler journey. She has informed them that walking remains available at any time.

- Bring Down the HallRare
The crew pulls the final braces once its people have cleared the hall. The roof comes down across the pursuing crowd, filling the abandoned passage with stone and splintered beams. Orla checks the trolley before checking whether anybody intends to complain.

- Handcart RelayRare
A chain of handcarts runs from the yard gate to the ramp, and the mice living under them have worked out the timetable. Every trip leaves a cart unattended for exactly long enough. The crew has stopped asking where the extra help comes from and started counting the cargo instead.

- Trolley-Harness GiantessStandard
The giantess fits a heavy hauling harness to whichever helper is still standing beside the last trolley. Reinforced straps let them shoulder a load that previously needed several volunteers. She regards requests for a smaller assignment as a problem to solve with more buckles.

- 1st ed.·StandardCathryneDelamort
There is a spare index, and she is sitting on that too.
Minion, Dragon⚔ 4♥ 4Extra-Catalogue DragonStandardThe dragon has copied her catalogue and hidden the duplicate beneath another pile of souvenirs. Driving her from the shelves lets the crew recover the list and continue packing. She is offended by the suggestion that a catalogue becomes more useful when somebody else can read it.

- Floodgate GargoyleStandard
The gargoyle has wedged herself across a flooded doorway to hold the crossing for the crew. Water and impatient evacuees pile up behind her. She considers both excellent evidence that the doorway needed somebody competent in it.

- Rafter-Sweeping WitchStandard
The witch has lashed two broom handles together to clear the exposed rafters. The extra reach lets her dislodge nesting creatures without climbing onto the damaged roof. Her colleagues have learned to duck whenever she turns to answer a question.

- Dropped LintelStandard
A heavy lintel slips from its supports and lands across the passage. The crew drags the next load around the wreckage while dust settles into every open crate. Anyone who stayed beneath it to offer lifting advice has stopped contributing.

Summoned outside the draw pile
Stowaway summons an extra Plinth Mouse at match start. No copies of it are drawn at this level: Wardrobe Nest and Second Shift and Landing Marshal and Yard Runner and Handcart Relay put it on the board.
A mouse lives beneath a salvaged plinth and considers its hollow base her home. She defends it with small, determined bites whenever somebody reaches underneath. Moving the plinth is perfectly acceptable, provided nobody expects her to help or contribute to the rent.
