Decks
Playable nowYou arrange the cards you own into decks at your Curator's Office.
You can do this now.
Building a deck
- A deck is 30 cards plus one deck master.
- 2 copies of any card, or 1 if it is Legendary or Unique.
- Only one copy of a location can be in play at a time.
- A card can only be in one deck. Put it in another and it leaves the first.
- You build decks at the Curator's Office. Each level of it holds one more deck.
What you can do today
Build a Curator's Office and it offers you a starter deck. Once you have taken it, the same page lists your decks, makes a new one while you have a slot free, and opens one to arrange it.
- Add and remove cards and rename it. A deck master goes in from your collection like any other card, one per deck.
- Choose its playstyle, which is how it plays when you are not at the controls. It is saved as soon as you pick it.
- Turn on Show as cards to see the deck as card faces instead of names. A name opens the card.
- The minus and plus beside each card's quantity take a copy out or put another in.
- The mana curve at the top shows how many cards in the deck cost each amount, with everything costing 7 or more in the last column. Hover over or tap a bar to see its count.
- Search, filter and sort your collection while you choose cards for the deck.
- A deck is saved when it holds 30 cards and has a deck master leading it, and not before.
- Nothing is saved until you press Save, and a deck has to hold 30 cards before you can save it.
- Your starter deck stays on the shelf. You can empty it, but it does not go away.
A deck fights at the Arena and nowhere else, so attacking and defending decks are the same thing until somebody can be raided.
While your starter deck is all you own, you have exactly the 30 cards it holds and its deck master, so there is nothing to swap in and nothing you can change until you get more cards.
Cards can only be in one place
Every card you own is wanted in four places, and it can only be in one of them.
- Your gallery
- Keeps your city happy.
- Your island's mural
- Lets everybody on the island put more people to work.
- Your attacking deck
- What you send when you raid somebody.
- Your defending deck
- What defends you when somebody raids you.
