Satisfaction
Playable nowHow many people your city can support.
You can do this now.

Right now
Satisfaction is how many people your city can support. Your population moves towards it and stops there, quickly at first and slowly as it gets close.
Your Town Hall supports 50% of its max population at each level. A level 10 Town Hall on its own supports 350 people.
It also sets your city's room, which is the most people it can hold whatever else you build: 40, then 90, then 140, then 200, and on up. Support more than that and the extra have nowhere to live, and your Town Hall page says so.
Your capital supports 10 more, on top of whatever it has built. Your first city is your capital, so that is where the ten is today.
A Coffee Shop adds 10 people for each level. You choose how much it serves, up to 10 coffee an hour at level 1, and every coffee an hour keeps 2 more people in town.
It serves out of the coffee you have. Every coffee it pours comes off your store, and a city with none serves none however you set it.
Your Town Hall page shows the sum: a line for each thing that earns you people, and the total underneath.
Corruption
Designed, not builtEvery city except your capital needs a Statehouse as high as the number of cities you hold outside your capital. A city whose Statehouse is behind is corrupt.
Corruption takes the same share off two things at once: how many people the city supports, and how much its workers gather. A city with no Statehouse at all loses 75% of both. Half the levels it needs loses it half of that.
It shows as its own line on that city's Town Hall page, and on the page of whatever it is digging.
Keeping up with your Town Hall
A Coffee Shop's service is capped at a quarter of the room your Town Hall makes, measured in coffee. Each coffee supports 2 people, and the shop adds 10 people per level.
Upgrading your Town Hall raises its max population and sets its own satisfaction to 50% of that max. Upgrading your Coffee Shop adds 10 for each level. Served coffee adds 2 for each coffee.
Setting the rate
Open your Coffee Shop and drag the slider. Coffee served and town satisfaction change as you drag.
You can only set a rate if you have coffee. With an empty store the slider is pegged at nothing, because there is nothing to pour.
One coffee is enough to set any rate your shop can pour: a rate is per hour and your store is a quantity, so a high rate over a small store is a short service. Serving more than you can afford is not refused, it just empties the store sooner, and when it is empty the shop stops and the people it was keeping start to leave.
Only a city on a coffee island can get coffee today: build a Coffee Grove there and put people on it. Anywhere else the store stays empty and the slider is pegged at nothing, because buying coffee from a neighbour is not built.
Where coffee comes from
Designed, not builtOnly some islands grow coffee, so most cities buy theirs from a neighbour. A city that grows its own can serve out of what arrives and never touch its store.
Hanging cards
Your Art Gallery adds 10 people for each level, and shows one card for each level as well.
Every card on the wall supports more people, by its rarity: Standard 2, Rare 5, Epic 12, Legendary 25, Unique 60.
A card on the wall is not in a deck, so that is what it costs you. Take it down when you want to fight with it, and the people it was supporting start to leave.
Losing people
If your satisfaction ever drops below the people you have, they leave at one an hour until the two match. Running out of coffee does it, and so does taking a card off your wall.
