What it is

The Town Hall is your city's level. Upgrading it makes room for more people, opens another building plot, and lets you upgrade everything else higher.

The room it makes is the base of your city's satisfaction, and a Coffee Shop adds to it. Your Town Hall page shows the two added up.

Every city starts with one, and it cannot be demolished.

What you can do with it today

Open your city and then its Town Hall. It shows how many people live there, what the city can support and which buildings earned that, and it is where you rename your city and upgrade it.

It is also where you give the city up. Your capital cannot be abandoned.

What each level gives you

Room for more people, which is the base of your satisfaction, and one more building plot. The table below has both.
Permission to build things that need a higher Town Hall.

What it costs

Level 1 comes with your city. Level 2 costs 120 wood and takes 4 minutes to build.

There is nothing you need first.

Every level after that costs about 35% more and takes about 40% longer than the one before, and stone is part of the price from level 5.
