The sea and your Port

Playable now

How anything gets from one island to another.

You can do this now.

A small sailing boat loaded with settlers and crates

The Port

Everything that crosses water goes through your Port. You buy ships there with gold, and the further away you are sending, the longer the trip takes.

Sending resources needs a Port wherever they are going, including to a city of yours on the same island: goods go by ship. Decks are the exception, because they can walk across the island they are on.

Sending resources

Open the Port of the city you are sending from, pick another of your cities, and fill the hold. A transport carries 1,000 of anything, mixed however you like, and the page counts the ships and the time as you set the amounts. You need a Port wherever you are sending, because the goods go by ship even to a city on your own island.

  • The resources leave the moment you send them and arrive when the transport does.
  • The ships are yours again when it lands.
  • Press Recall on a shipment at sea to turn it round. Everything comes back to the city it left, taking as long to return as it had been out, and the ships stay busy until then. A delivery you bought at the Auction House cannot be recalled.
  • Loading is your Port's speed: 250 a minute at level 1, so a full transport takes 4m. Sending to a city on your own island loads the same way and only saves you the crossing.
  • Anything that does not fit in the receiving city is lost, so check its Storehouse before you send a lot.

To send to another player, open their city from its island, choose which of your cities with a Port it leaves from, and fill the hold the same way.

One player, one account. Sending resources between accounts you control gets every account involved suspended or banned without warning. Staff review trading between accounts. Helping a friend who plays their own account is fine.

Trade and attacks across water

Designed, not built

Trading cards directly with another player is not built. It will leave from a Port, and its loading speed will decide how long a shipment sits there.

What there is no such thing as

  • Sea battles. Every fight in this game is a card match.
  • Occupying somebody's city. You can rob it or blockade its port, and that is all.
