Getting a card

Packs
Five cards, with at least one Rare or better. Cheap, and you do not choose what is in them.
Buy one
Other players sell cards at the Auction House, including old ones nobody can print any more.

You can also recycle a card you do not want, which gives you back some mana.

New editions instead of nerfs

When a card turns out to be too strong or too weak, the game prints a new edition of it. The copy you own never changes, so an old edition stays exactly what it was.

There is one exception, and it is a repair. A starter deck is handed out on whatever edition was current that day, so a card in it can be left behind by a later edition. Staff can move those copies onto the current edition. It only ever moves a card forward, and your history says who did it and why.
