Art styles

Playable now

The style your whole empire is drawn in, and what it does to every city.

You can do this now.

What a style is

  • Every empire starts in the Anime style, which has no bonus and no drawback.
  • Each other style has a bonus and a drawback that apply in every city you hold.
  • You open a style by researching its Movement at a Research Institute, then adopt it at your Capitol Building. A Movement also costs glass from the city that researches it.
  • Changing style costs 2,500 gold for each city you hold.
  • After a change your empire is in unrest for 12 hours. It has no bonus or drawback, every city supports 10% fewer people, and you cannot change again or cancel.

How your empire looks

Your buildings are drawn in your style, and other players see them that way on your city and your island. During unrest they are drawn as wireframes.

Advisors, Generals and Diplomats in your style

Your advisor, Generals, Diplomats and the game's pictures are drawn in your style too. After a change they switch when unrest ends.

Ranks

Each style has 5 ranks, researched at the Research Institute. The first 2 take away the drawback a part at a time. Each rank after that adds 25% to the bonus. You keep ranks if you change style and come back.
