What this game promises artists
Playable nowYour art is submitted by you, credited to you, never sold, and yours to take back.
You can do this now.
The four promises
- You submit it
- Art only gets in when the artist offers it. Nothing is taken from DeviantArt without asking.
- You are always credited
- Your name and a link to the original are on the card and stay there.
- It is never sold for real money
- Cards are bought with in-game resources only.
- You can take it back
- End the licence whenever you like. No new copies or adaptations are made after that, and nothing already made is taken out of the game.
What you agree to when you submit
- The work is yours, and it is not fan art.
- It is not mature content.
- The image has no watermark, signature banner or logo over the art, including DeviantArt's own.
- This game can use it on cards until you say otherwise.
- It may also inspire sprites, characters and other artwork in the game's other modes, such as the Adventurers' Hall. Wherever it does, you are credited and it links to the original.
What happens when you take it back
- No more copies are made, and the card leaves the public card list.
- Players who already have a copy keep it, still credited to you.
When staff take a card out of printing
A curator can decommission a card that should not have been printed, for example one with a watermark over the art. It works like taking it back: no more copies are made and it leaves the card list, and players keep the copies they have. Your submission page shows the reason.
