Your advisor
Playable nowTips on what to do next, with rewards for the first ones.
You can do this now.
What it does
- Your advisor suggests what to do next, one tip per line, with the reason beside it.
- Tips update while you play, and new ones may take a short while to appear. Doing what a tip asks clears its instruction; any reward stays available until you collect it.
- Some tips are about what is happening right now, and come back whenever it happens again: a deck waiting at the Overgrown Gallery, corruption, a city nobody is cutting wood in, a full Storehouse, or a pack ready to open.
- Once your capital's Town Hall is level 4, your advisor also tells you when a city's construction crew is idle and the city can pay for a build or an upgrade.
- Every new city is founded as Settlement. Your advisor asks you to name each one, and Go opens the name form at its Town Hall.
- When you have room for another city, your advisor names every city whose Statehouse is too low for it. Found the next city after upgrading those, or they become corrupt.
- Once you have researched Luxury Production, your advisor tells you what each island's good is for the first time you can build its producer, reminds every later city on that good to build one, and tells you when nobody works a producer.
- Once you have beaten every open level of the Overgrown Gallery, your advisor suggests raiding the highest one again for a little loot. It asks once for each level.
- After your first win at the Overgrown Gallery, your advisor suggests a look at the leaderboard. Once you have looked, it tells you when other players pass you on the overall board, until you look again.
- With gold to spare and fewer than 3 transport ships, it suggests another. Once you have an Auction House, and plenty of resources and little gold, it suggests selling some at your highest Auction House.
- Once you have a card outside your starting deck, your advisor suggests changing the deck: take out the cards you like least and put in ones you collected.
- Later it suggests research your points already pay for, shipping coffee to a Coffee Shop that has none, hanging a spare card in an Art Gallery with room, another pack when your Art Studio is free, and an Auction House once you can build one.
- Press a tip to open it. It says more, and Go takes you to the screen that does it.
Rewards
- The first tips pay wood, gold or mana. The tip says what it pays.
- Once you have done what the tip asks, your advisor pops up with Collect, on whatever page you are on. Collect pays you, into your capital, once.
- Later closes it on this device. The reward waits on the tip until you collect it.
- Doing a tip early counts. Collect it whenever you see it.
- While a tip asks you to build a Storehouse, a Curator's Office, a Port, an Arena, an Art Studio, or a Town Hall up to level 3, that build can be finished free from its panel.
Where it sits
- Your advisor's portrait is always beside your name at the top of every page, with the number of tips on it. On a phone it sits beside the menu button. Press it for every tip.
- While there are tips, a box at the top of every game screen shows the first few. The world map has none.
- The X in the box's corner turns it off. Show tips in game screens, on the advisor page or in Settings, turns it back on.
- Choose who your advisor is in Settings. Opening Settings finishes the Choose your advisor tip, even if you keep the advisor you have.
Not now
- Not now takes a tip out of the box and out of the count. A tip about something happening now, such as an idle crew, stays hidden until it happens again.
- A tip about a full Storehouse, corruption, your gold or your fleet comes back after 24 hours if it is still true.
- Hidden tips are listed at the bottom of the advisor page. Show again brings one back.
